Here are a few of the stories we're reading this week:
Stories from the old train station
We're fast approaching the grand reopening of Michigan Central, and they want your stories. The team is looking for your memories, stories your grandparents told you, the history of the station from your eyes. From an Instagram post:
"As we stand on the brink of a new chapter, we want to celebrate how far we've come together. Your perspectives, your history, and even your challenges have shaped the narrative of our community. We want to hear from you to ensure that your stories are front and center."

More shopping downtown in time for the draft
Visitors to Detroit later this month will have a few more places to shop. Somerset Collection is setting up a pop-up store on the second floor of the Metropolitan Building. It's called the Luxury Locker Room and will open April 17. Expect custom detailing, free gifts, and over 25 brands from the Somerset Collection. Detroit Free Press
Demo soon for Future of Health
The HAP building at West Grand Boulevard and the Lodge will soon be demoed in preparation for the new medical tower being constructed by Henry Ford Health. Some lanes could close in the area starting on Monday to prepare for the upcoming demo, with the date not set yet. Employees were moved from the building late last year. It's part of a larger project called Future of Health, which will transform the surrounding area with the new $2 billion medical tower, and across the Lodge a new medical research center and around 600 new residential units.
