We're off Target again
We can now take the Midtown Target at Mack and Woodward off the table for good. City Club Apartments confirmed that Target will not be going into that development, but the development will still happen with a national retailer. The development was announced years ago, and will eventually bring retail and 350 apartments to the neighborhood. Crain's Detroit Business
Share your feedback on the I-75 cap
A section of I-75 downtown could be capped in the future, leading the way to a greater connection between Brush Park, the LCA area, and downtown. The Downtown Detroit Partnership received funding earlier this year to study and they're currently looking for feedback in a survey, which has questions about how you use the area, goals of the project, and types of amenities and elements that could be added to the cap. New clean energy buses coming to Detroit
Detroit received a $30.8 million grant from the Federal Transit Administration new clean energy buses. The city will purchase 21 hybrid buses and four zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell buses to replace 25 diesel coaches. MDOT also provided a $5 million matching grant for the program. Part of the funding will go toward workforce development and infrastructure upgrades for the new buses. City of Detroit
