Small businesses are returning to downtown Detroit for the holiday shopping season this year. Downtown Detroit Markets and Cadillac Lodge open up for visitors on November 10.
18 local vendors will set up in the glass huts along Cadillac Square, with items including apparel, home goods, children's items, baked goods, books, candles, beauty supplies, and gifts for pets. Bea's Detroit will operate the Cadillac Lodge with hot chocolate, coffee, and lemonade options, plus special programming throughout the season.
1001 Woodward will also be open for families with large gingerbread houses and trails with igloos; kids can drop off letters to Santa inside.
Brick & mortar businesses will also be holding special giveaways, live music, and deals November 17-December 24.
Downtown Detroit Markets and the Cadillac Lodge will be open November 10-December 31, Wednesdays through Sundays. 1001 Woodward will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays November 20 through Sunday, January 30, 4-8 pm on Fridays and noon-4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. More info can be found here.
